Victoria BC Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist – Sharon Rai

Once the wedding is over, and a few weeks go by, it can get a little depressing.  I experienced that first hand, knowing that its all over, and there is no more planning, unless… you have two weddings! Stacey, is that lucky bride, she traveled from Fort McMurray, AB over the weekend, to have an intimate wedding ceremony with close family in Sidney, BC.  Next month, her friends & family will be traveling to Mexico, to celebrate the official wedding. Stacey, from the start had an idea of what she wanted, we created her look during her wedding day preview a few months ago, we added extensions to her hair, to give it the fulness.  On the wedding day, Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry arrived on-location at the Magnolia Hotel & Spa, downtown Victoria.  View pictures of beautiful Stacey before she put on her wedding dress.

Sooke, BC Bridal Makeup Artist – Sharon Rai

‘Once in a while, Right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairy tale.’ that was from a wedding card that I read in Tiffany Schiller’s suite while getting her ready at the Sooke Harbour House. Tiffany was the beautiful SR bride today, she traveled from Vancouver, to get married in the breath-taking gardens in Sooke, BC.  Her style was romantic, vintage, and glamorous.  We incorporated her dress, flowers, and style to create her stunning look.  View more pictures of Tiffany.  As we were finishing, Jennifer Armstrong, the wedding photographer came, it was great to run into her.  The last time we worked together was four years ago, during a wedding on Hornby Island, BC. How time flew.

Vancouver Island Sikh Wedding Makeup Artist

Early early Saturday morning, Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry arrived on-location to stylize the beautiful, Seema Komal for her traditional Sikh wedding in Victoria, BC.  Seema was a sweetheart to work with, and looked amazing, loved her style, outfit and jewelry. Calgary, AB South Asian Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist – Sharon Rai

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry, traveled to Calgary, AB on Saturday Evening to stylize the beautiful Rupinder Sandhu.  The lovely couple got married on Saturday in Edmonton, and traveled to Calgary for their reception.  Arriving in Calgary, was cold and raining, however, turned out to be full of sunshine on Sunday, as we started on her reception look!  View more pictures of Rupinder.

Mount Washington Makeup Artist – Sharon Rai

Canada’s luxury wedding magazine, WedLuxe, has done a wedding story on a SR Bride, Shauna Ravai.  Her wedding took place in Mount Washington, I had the privilege of spending a beautiful summer day with her and her party in their Chalet.  I always remember every bride, I work with.  With Shauna’s wedding, it was her shoes, I was in-love with her Pink Prada’s, and the story behind the color!  Here is what Shauna had to say:

Salt Spring Island Makeup Artist – Sharon Rai

Australian Sharon Rai Brides! – Victoria BC

Carrie & Monica, twin sisters, flew in from Australia to get married at The Lodge at Weirs Beach here in Victoria, BC.  Not only do they share the same birthday, now they share the same wedding date!  It was great, both sisters, bridesmaids, and brides, on the same day.  I met the ladies a few days before their wedding at the studio, we had a wedding day preview for each of them, this is when the bride and I spend time on their look, customizing their vision, and ensuring everything is perfect on the wedding day.

The Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry team arrived in the morning with, Monica and her bridal party first, and Carrie and her party in the afternoon.  Monica, the first bride, has shoulder length hair, we added extensions to giver her the fullness and length.  With her makeup, we went heavier on the eyes, and kept everything else flawless.  Carrie was second to walk down the aisle, we kept her makeup soft, defining her eye.

It was a pleasure working with such gorgeous ladies, wishing you all the best! Paul Tedrick & Jesse Holland, did a great job on the photography.

Victoria BC Event – Sharon Rai Makeup Artist

L’oreal Paris contacted Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry for their new color launch event at Carreiro’s, a hair studio downtown Victoria, BC.    The models were to have flawless skin, pale lips, with soft green smokey eyes.

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry was asked to work on a Bella Boudoir photo-shoot as their hairstylist.  As always it was great to work with Karen McNeil, and the ladies were fabulous!  Here is what they had to say:

Fall Magazine Shoot – Victoria BC Makeup Artist

Sharon Rai Hair & Makeup Artistry, worked on a vampire inspired photo-shoot for the fall.  Alongside Jennifer Dickinson, a talented fashion photographer, Seungmin Yoo, hairstylist, and the beautiful model, Kate.  Makeup was kept light on the eyes, yet defining the lash-line with a strong lip, finishing with luscious hair.  Great look for the fall, and a great team to work with!
